Built for Adults Who Need More Than a Gym

CrossFit Unshaken exists because busy people deserve intentional coaching, not just access to equipment. Every program here is structured, every session is coached, and support does not stop when class ends.

Coaches Who Stay Involved Past the Workout

The coaches at CrossFit Unshaken know where you are in your training, what you are working around, and what needs to change. That context does not disappear when class ends. It carries into how sessions are adjusted, how nutrition is addressed, and how progress is tracked over time.

Owner/Head Coach CFL2

Luis Gonzalez

Luis is the owner and head coach of CrossFit Unshaken. He’s a CrossFit Level 2 CoachPrecision Nutrition Level 2 Master Health Coach, and a Sleep, Stress & Recovery Specialist—which means he doesn’t just coach workouts, he coaches the whole person.

Luis has a deep love for technical coaching, especially gymnastics and Olympic lifting. He’s known for breaking down complex movements in a way that makes them approachable, repeatable, and confidence-building. His coaching style is detail-oriented, encouraging, and rooted in helping people move well—not just move more.

What truly drives Luis, though, is mindset. He’s passionate about helping people realize they’re capable of far more than they’ve ever believed. Many members walk in feeling intimidated, out of shape, or unsure of themselves. Luis takes pride in helping them rebuild confidence—both inside and outside the gym—one rep, one habit, and one win at a time.

His passion for CrossFit goes beyond workouts. He believes CrossFit, when coached well, is one of the most powerful tools for long-term health, resilience, and personal growth. Done right, it teaches discipline, consistency, humility, and grit—skills that carry into work, family, and everyday life.

Outside the gym, Luis is a devoted husband and father. He loves spending time with his wife and daughters, and his family is his why. That perspective shapes everything he does at CrossFit Unshaken – from creating a place where busy parents are noticed and coached without judgment to helping them stay consistent without burning out.

Luis built CrossFit Unshaken to be a place where people feel coached, supported, and challenged in the right ways. A place where you don’t just work out—you grow.

Coach CFL2

Ben Medina

Ben started CrossFit back in 2013 and has been hooked ever since. What began as “just trying to get in shape” turned into a full-on passion for coaching, competing, and helping people better themselves and realize what they’re capable of.

He currently holds a CrossFit Level 2 (CF-L2) certification, along with specialty certifications in Olympic Weightlifting and Running. His coaching style focuses on helping athletes move well, stay consistent, and build strength and conditioning along the way.

Before CrossFit, Ben served in the United States Marine Corps, and his current career focuses on supply chain management and logistics. He graduated from the University of Houston with a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management and an MBA in Finance.

Ben trains six days a week and has competed in several local competitions. He continues to chase long-term progress in the CrossFit Open (Masters 35–39 division—for now) while staying healthy and improving each season.

His mission is simple: help people move better, get stronger, and have a good time working at it.
